s.39A notice – Warning notice for scanners, printers and photocopiers: fair dealing

This notice is required to be placed on or near photocopiers, scanners, computers and similar equipment in libraries and other places of the University where infringing copies are likely to be made. It provides legal protection in the event that staff or students infringe copyright (in non-audio-visual materials) using equipment supplied by the University. The law requires this notice to be A4 size.

s.104B notice – Warning notice regarding audio-visual materials

Place this notice on DVD players, VCRs, audio equipment, scanners, computers and any other equipment located in libraries and other areas of the University on which infringing copies of audio-visual material could be made. It provides legal protection in the event that staff or students infringe copyright in audio-visual material such as films and recorded music. The law requires this notice to be in A4 size.

s.49 notice - Warning notice on electronic copying and communication

This notice is to be used by libraries or archives which provide electronic copying and communication document supply to users. When a library or archive supplies a user (not another library or archive) with electronic copies of material (for example, by email), it must provide that user with the notice before or at the same time. There is no prescribed size for this notice.
