The University Library provides copyright support for the UWA community to help staff and students understand their copyright obligations, and in doing so maximise the use of copyright material for teaching, learning and research.

Copying allowances
Copying and communication allowances under the Copyright Act vary depending on the type of work being copied and the purpose of the copying.
Under provisions of the Copyright Act, students are able to reproduce copyright material without permission providing the material is for research or study and that the copying is 'fair'.
Display or attach these warning notices in places where copyright could be infringed.
