From Saturday 20th June to Sunday 19th July 2009 the Biological Science, Maths and Physical Science, and Undergraduate Physical Science Libraries, and the Geology Library, will be closed.
This closure is due to the amalgamation of the collections from the Biological Sciences, Maths and Physical Sciences, and Undergraduate Physical Sciences Libraries and the Geology Library into the new Science Library Building, which is scheduled for opening on Monday 20th July 2009. The Library will provide alternative services during this period, and apologises for any inconvenience to staff and students.
Can I still borrow from Science Libraries?
Staff and students are invited to borrow items from the Science Libraries up to and including Friday 19th June 2009. After this date there will be no access to the Science Library Collections until Monday 20th July.
UWA staff and postgraduates may access the Get it (Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery) service to order items held in the Science collections that are inaccessible during to the move.
Can I borrow Reserve Items or 3 day loans?
Staff and students can borrow Reserve Items and 3 day loans from Friday 19th June, and these will be due back of Monday 20th July, unless recalled.
How do I access journals while the Library is closed?
Many of our journal titles are available online, and you can access these as usual from your home or work. Titles which are only available in print will not be retrievable during the closure however.

How do I return items I have on loan to the Science Library?
All items on loan should be returned to the Reid Library during the closure.
Will the Librarians still be able to help me with my research?
Information services and research assistance will continue to be offered during the closure. Science Librarians can be contacted on science-ref@library.uwa.edu.au or 9346 7570 (Medical and Dental Library). Librarians will continue to be available for face-to-face appointments and can visit you in your office. To access this service please contact them on the above email or phone number.
