Group study rooms

Some libraries have group study rooms or carrels which are available to UWA staff and students. Some rooms are available for booking for a maximum of two hours. Please contact the appropriate subject library for more information and for bookings.

Education, Fine Arts & Architecture Library 1 room (capacity 8)

Humanities & Social Sciences Library
1 room available on the 1st floor - No booking required
Law Library

2 rooms on level 1 (capacity 6) - Booking required
3 rooms on level 4 (capacity 4) - Booking required

Medical and Dental Library
2 rooms (capacity 12) - one of these has an X-ray viewer
Post-graduate study room (capacity 8)
Seminar room (capacity 15-20) - available for bookings
Music Library 1 room (capacity 8) - No booking required
1 room (capacity 6) - No booking required
Scholars' Centre 1 seminar room available for booking by postgraduate and honours students

Carrels and Desks in the Reid Library Building

Applications for places in carrels in the Reid Library Building, or for a desk in the Scholars' Centre, can be made using this Application Form [PDF; 93K]. Higher degree and Honours students are eligible to apply. Applications are considered twice a year, before the start of each semester. Two carrels are reserved for students from the School of Indigenous Studies, and two for students with disabilities.
