Libraries using Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD)
The UWA Library Document Delivery Service coordinates document delivery for the University of Western Australia and is a member of Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) . The Library's entry in the ILRS Directory (NUC symbol = WU) provides policies and further information.
Document delivery services to other Libraries
The Library prefers to receive requests via the Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) service. However, for those Libraries which do not use this system but wish to borrow or obtain copies of material from the UWA Library they may do so by following the procedure outlined below.
Please note:
- All requests must be prepaid, either by credit card or ALIA or IFLA vouchers before they will be supplied.
- If requesting a rush item (turn around time within 24hrs) prepayment must be by credit card.
- Licensing restrictions mean that some online materials are not available for document delivery.
- Detailed information about purchasing UWA theses is also available.
How to place a request for Libraries not using LADD
- Locate the item in the UWA Library catalogue and note its call number.
- Complete and submit online the Document delivery request form. Each request must be entered on a separate form and full details supplied with each request.
- Prepay by completing the Payment method form and sending to the appropriate address detailed on the form.
Charges
Charges for Australian libraries are based on current LADD agreements and can be located in our entry on ILRS.
Charges for overseas libraries are 1 IFLA voucher (or AUD$12) for a scanned PDF delivered by email and 2.5 IFLA vouchers (or AUD$36) for a loan.
UWA theses
UWA theses are not available for loan but may be purchased from Copying Services.
