The UWA Library is implementing a new operating environment on library computers in early February 2008. Our computers will be running Microsoft Windows Vista with Internet Explorer 7 and Office 2007, and will provide access to a number of other updated applications.
UWA staff and students will also have access to Adobe Acrobat Standard and Endnote X1.
We appreciate your patience during the rollout period and would welcome your views on any aspect of the new operating environment.

Where can I get help using EndNote X1?
Important notice for EndNote users currently using EndNote version 7 or earlier. If you are currently using version 7 (or an earlier version) there are backward compatibility issues with EndNote X1. Once you have converted your data, you cannot easily go back to EndNote 7. Please check the information at EndNote Support before using EndNote on this computer or contact a Reference librarian in this library.
You can access online tutorials at EndNote Support. (You will need headphones for this – available from the Inquiry/Lending Desk). The University of Queensland Library has also prepared a self-teaching EndNoteX1 Tutorial. (Please ask at the Reference Office for more help or information about EndNote).

Not all Library computers are fitted with DVD players. It is the Library’s intention to include DVD players as it replaces computers.
If you wish to use a DVD from a Library computer, please select a computer which has DVD printed on its drive.
