When you search databases you will find citations to articles and other publications. Although there are some full text databases, the majority are indexing databases, and these provide you with the authors, titles, publishing details and, in many cases, the abstracts, but NOT the complete text of the articles or publications.
The next step in the research process is to check the Library catalogue to find out if the journal is held at UWA, and if so, where it is located. Some journals are held in paper copy only, some in electronic format.
In some instances, a "Find it" link is available from within the indexing database. This allows you to link to the full text of the journal article if the Library holds it in electronic format. Please ask the librarian in your subject library for more information about how to find full text sources in your subject area.
