Bookmarking your favourite sites

Library home > This page

You cannot bookmark a favourite page or site on a Library computer as you would on your own computer. This is because computers must be shared among multiple users. The menu items that allow you to customise Internet Explorer to suit your personal requirements have also been deactivated.

To store your favourite sites and access frequently used links you can register for the My Bookmarks portable bookmarking system. This offers you the convenience of quickly accessing your personal list of favourite databases or Web sites, whether they are on the Library Web site or anywhere else on the World Wide Web. You can then log into the system from anywhere, on any computer, to retrieve this list of bookmarks.

My Bookmarks accounts are available to UWA staff and students only; to register you will need your current UWA Number and Library barcode which are shown on your UWA Campus Card.

A link to My Bookmarks is available in the top right hand corner of the Library Web site home page where more information is available. Please ask a Librarian in your subject library if you need assistance with using this service.
