The Microform Collection

The Microform Collection is a major resource for study and research. It contains almost 45,000 reels of microfilm and around 400,000 microfiche. The major emphases are local and international newspapers, medieval manuscripts, early modern books, music, Indian history, and a wide range of nineteenth-century materials.

Machines are available for reading and printing from the microfilms and microfiche. You can use your Campus Card to pay for printing, and the costs are the same as for photocopies.

You can also save digital copies (in TIFF or JPEG format) to a USB device for personal research and study, subject to the provisions of the Copyright Act. There is no charge for this service.
